Last week Google unveiled a new tool as part of the software that tracks the trends that occur during google worldwide searches. This new trend will showcase the top 100 search phrases being used for that particular day, not including the usual pornographic and celebrity-like search phrases. The information will be useful for tracking relevant events and their impact on user behaviour within online search (within google anyway).
